Access Information to Athens Zafolia Hotel


From Athens International Airport "Eleftherios Venizelos":

"ATH" is about 30klm (20miles) from Athens Zafolia Hotel.
You can reach the hotel in one of the following ways:

By Car:

Upon exiting the airport facilities you enter the airport access highway that leads you to Attiki Odos, a tolled metropolitan highway. You follow signs to Athens Centre and on exit No 16 you will follow signs to Western ring road.
Take the Katechaki exit (Y1) direction to Athens centre. 

On the intersection with Messogion Ave. you will turn left towards Athens.  Follow Messogion avenue signs that will lead you to its end where it twists and intersects with Kifisias Avenue
Cross the intersection and you are on Alexandras Avenue, where Athens Zafolia Hotel is located.
After crossing 5 traffic lights and the all white marble building of Justice, on your right you will see the 8-storey, granite covered building of Athens Zafolia Hotel. 

To access the parking you take a turn just after the hotel’s main entrance.

By Metro or/and Suburban Railway:

There is a Metro Transfer Station on the departures level of the ATH Airport.
Once you arrive in the platform, you can choose between the Athens Metro and the Proastiakos Local train connection.

If you will embark to the Athens Metro – Line 3 (blue line), the direction will be to “Dimotiko Theatro” station.

If you decide to use the Proastiakos Local train, you will need to disembark to “Doukissis Plakentias” station, where you will change to Athens Metro and Line 3 (blue line) direction to “Dimotiko Theatro”.

After a short 10 minutes ride from "Doukissis Plakentias" station or 30 minutes ride from the Airport with Athens Metro, you will arrive on “Ambelokipi” station, where you disembark and follow signs to “Panormou” exit.

Once on the Alexandras Avenue sidewalk, you should see a Piraeus Bank on the opposite side of the street. You turn right and walk down the avenue, having “Apostolos Nikolaidis” football stadium on your left hand.

After a 10-15 minute walk (depending on your stride) you will arrive in front of Athens Zafolia Hotel.

Otherwise, exactly on the station’s exit you will find a bus stop where you can take any bus (A7/B5/14/18/19) using the same ticket, towards Alexandras Avenue and disembark in “Ippokratous” bus stop (3rd stop), where you will see Athens Zafolia Hotel.

 

Athens Metro from the airport operates from 06:10am to 23:30pm**
Proastiakos Local train from the airport operates from 06:00am to 22:50pm**

🕐 Metro: The first train from the Airport is at 06:10 am and the last train at 23:30 pm **
🕐 Suburban Railway operates from 06:00 am to 22:50 pm**

By Bus "Express Bus X95":
 

There is a Bus Station on the arrivals level of the ATH.
Take Bus No X95 that runs 24 hours a day and costs 6 € each way.

Should your arrival is during the operating hours of Athens Metro (inside the city from 05:30 to midnight**), you can disembark at bus stop “Ethniki Amyna” and switch to Athens Metro. You get off at “Ambelokipi” station, where you disembark and follow signs to “Panormou” exit.

Once on the Alexandras Avenue sidewalk, you should see a Piraeus Bank on the opposite side of the street. You turn right and walk down the avenue, having “Apostolos Nikolaidis” football stadium on your left hand.

After a 10-15 minute walk (depending on your stride) you will arrive in front of Athens Zafolia Hotel.
 

Otherwise, exactly on the station’s exit you will find a bus stop where you can take any bus (A7/B5/14/18/19) using the same ticket, towards Alexandras Avenue and disembark in “Ippokratous” bus stop (3rd stop), where you will see Athens Zafolia Hotel. While you wait at the bus stop, the Piraeus Bank should be on the opposite side of the street.
 

Alternatively, if your arrival time is not during the operating hours of Athens Metro, you continue your ride with Bus No X95 and you disembark at Syntagma Square. From Syntagma Square take a taxi to Athens Zafolia Hotel. The ride will be approximately 10 minutes.  

By Taxi:

Depending on traffic, should take between 30-45 minutes and costs approximately 45€.

From Athens Historic City Center

Depending on your exact location, you can easily reach Athens Zafolia Hotel either by using the metro, or one of the bus lines, or by taxi.

By Metro:

 

In a walking distance form the hotel, you will find the metro station "Ampelokipi" of Line 3 (Blue Line)
"Airport - Doukisis Plakentias - Dimotiko Theatro".   

The specific line passes though the historic center of the city and you can embark to any station is closest to you towards "Ampelokipi" station. 

 

Once you arrive at "Ampelokipi", exit the station by following the signs to “Panormou” exit.
 

Once on the Alexandras Avenue sidewalk, you should see a Piraeus Bank on the opposite side of the street. You turn right and walk down the avenue, having “Apostolos Nikolaidis” football stadium on your left hand.

After a 10-15 minute walk (depending on your stride) you will arrive in front of Athens Zafolia Hotel.

If the nearest Metro station to you is one of Line 1 (Green line) “Pireas – Kifissia”, you should move to “Monastiraki” station and change for Line 3 (Blue line) direction “Doukissis Plakentias” – “Airport”. You then disembark at “Ambelokipi” station and you follow the directions above. 
 

If the nearest Metro station to you is one of Line 2 (Red line) “Anthoupoli – Elliniko”, you should move to “Syntagma” station and change for Line 3 (Blue line) direction “Doukissis Plakentias” – “Airport”. You then disembark at “Ambelokipi” station and you follow the directions above. 
 

Otherwise, exactly on the station’s exit you will find a bus stop where you can take any bus (A7/B5/14/18/19) using the same ticket, towards Alexandras Avenue and disembark in “Ippokratous” bus stop (3rd stop), where you will see Athens Zafolia Hotel. 

 

🕐 Metro operating hours are from 05:30 am. until 00:00 am
Lines 2 (Red Line) and 3 (Blue Line) operate until 01:00 AM. every Friday & Saturday.

From the Piraeus Port or the center of Piraues:

Whether you arrived at the Port of Piraeus on a Cruise ship or a Line ship, or you are in Piraeus for business or pleasure, you can now come to Athens Zafolia Hotel much more easily, thanks to the extension that took place on Line 3 (Blue Line) of the metro "Dimotiko Theatro - Doukissis Plakentias - Airport".

By Metro:

Take the metro towards "Doukisis Plakentias - Aerodromio" and disembark at "Ampelokipi" Station.  

 

Once you arrive at "Ampelokipi", exit the station by following the signs to “Panormou” exit.

From Thessaloniki – Lamia to Athens National Highway

17km after the Afidnes Toll post you will exit at Attiki Odos intersection direction “”Markopoulo”. Get off Attiki Odos at Exit 11, get on Kifisias Avenue direction to Athens Centre.
At the Alexandras Avenue intersection turn right and proceed for less than 1km.

From Patras – Corinth to Athens National Highway

After the Elefsina Toll post you should take Attiki Odos direction “Markopoulo”
Get off Attiki Odos at Exit 11, get on Kifisias Avenue direction to Athens Centre
At the Alexandras Avenue intersection turn right and proceed for less than 1km.

From Athens Zafolia Hotel to Kifisias Avenue and to the Olympic Stadium:

By Metro:

 

You take the Metro at “Ambelokipi” station Line 3 (Blue line) direction “Agia Marina”.
At “Monastiraki” you change to Line 1 (Green line), direction “Kifisia”. 

Get off at “Eirini” station. You are right at the entrance of the Olympic Complex.
 

Operating hours from 05:30 to 00:00**

You can pick up one from the hotel and should take you to Olympic Stadium in no more than 15-20 minutes (depending on traffic) and charge you between 8-10€.
